About us

                                                                            Western Rockies Eye Center

We are a well established ophthalmic/optometric practice which first opened up in Grand Junction (1000 Wellington Ave.) in the early 1980's.  For over 30 years since opening, our ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, technicians and support staff have provided the best care to many generations of families of the Grand Valley and surrounding Western Slope.  In 2016, we decided to move our practice to a new location to preserve our ability to take extra time and attention in caring for our patients.

Our new address is: 2460 Patterson Road, Unit #2  Grand Junction, Colorado.

We offer many different ophthalmic services such as cataract, ocular surface and eyelid surgeries, glaucoma/diabetic eye evaluation and treatment, follow up and care.

We also offer different optometric services such as routine eye exams for adults and children and contact lens fittings (hard and soft) by our optometrist Dr. Mike Luby. His excellent care is paired with our registered opticians who provide assistance in choosing and fitting of many different lines of new lenses and frames in our optical shop.

Call and schedule an appointment (970-243-9000) with one of our physicians or stop by and check out our optical shop today!

Testimonial

  • "I did see Dr. Bush because 15 years ago my mother-in-law recommended him. He has now retired but I see Dr. Kellam. He is wonderful. The people I have seen there are very professional. Dr. Kellam did my cataract surgery for both eyes and I couldn't be more pleased. Staff at the eye center (which has moved to 2460 Patterson-in Frontier Plaza) and the surgical center (which remains at 1000 Wellington) are thorough, fast, friendly, compassionate and right there to answer any concerns you might have. Highly recommend Dr. Kellam."
